THE "WALKING GIRL" COLLECTION

The Walking Girl Collection reveals a lighter and more spontaneous side of Scarlett Hansen’s work.

Created in watercolour, the series is inspired by the modelling career of her sister, Ilana Hansen.

During a fashion show, a model’s walk lasts only a few moments. Each watercolour captures a passing moment—a look, an outfit, an attitude, or a gesture—that might otherwise have been visible for only a fraction of a second.

Through this collection, Scarlett seeks to stop time. She takes these fleeting moments and fixes them onto paper, allowing the viewer to linger on them for longer.

Watercolour offers a different kind of freedom from acrylic, with a lighter and more delicate quality.

The white of the paper becomes part of the composition, guiding the eye towards the central subject: Ilana Hansen.
