Scarlett Hansen

Scarlett Hansen is a 22-year-old French artist whose journey has always been guided by one constant: the need to create.

She grew up in France, between Normandy and the Alps, surrounded by nature and wide-open spaces. From an early age, imagination and freedom held an essential place in her life.

Alongside her artistic sensibility, Scarlett developed a deep passion for sport. After practicing several disciplines throughout her childhood, she devoted herself to high-level equestrian competition.

Her equestrian journey began in France before taking her to Canada and then the United States, where she competed internationally in dressage. Her dedication and achievements led her to rank among the top 30 young dressage riders in the world.

Years devoted to competitive sport profoundly shaped her character. They taught her discipline, precision, patience, and perseverance.

Throughout these years, painting remained a constant presence—a personal space of freedom and self-expression.

In 2016, while living in Canada, Scarlett began painting more intensively and presented some of her work in New York for the first time.

However, for several years, horses remained at the heart of her professional life.

Her return to France in 2023 marked a turning point.

She began painting again with a newfound intensity. The formats grew larger, the works multiplied, and several collections gradually began to take shape.

What had long existed alongside her equestrian career slowly became the central focus of her life.

Today, Scarlett Hansen is developing a personal artistic language through several collections exploring femininity, music, fashion, cinema, design, and sculpture.

She draws inspiration from all forms of art.

Despite their diversity, these worlds remain connected by a shared visual language: colour, movement, rhythm, graphic lines, and presence.
